Need your help: Left side motor cover question

The cover, which is technically the cover for the wiring, has come completely detached. Before I pull the crank arm to really investigate, has the occurred with other Photon Pro users?

Will I need a new cover because it was attached by the screws? Is there another method to attach this cover?

I'm wondering if there was too much flex in crank area due to either my weight or usage?

Thoughts???

More than likely it was over tightened when installed. . My experience is they use power tools when not appropriate.
There should be a little blue thread lock on the screws so they can be just snug enough but still won't back out on there own. A small plastic washer or even an O ring can be added to the bolt to keep things snug without being over tight
You'll need a new cover as it looks as it's broken at the bolt hole.

Assuming the area shown is the only one that is broken just fill the hole with silicone and it will glue it in place. Will at least help until you can get a replacement. When you do get it you can just peel out the silicone. You might want to back off on the other attachment bolts and do as suggested with the loctite as well.

I’ve had good luck with the two part super glue (lepages in my case) on plastic that refuses to bond with other glue. I would try that perhaps along with the silicone too after it’s all back together. No need to have these overly tight as it looks like it’s only a weather shield?

Btw don’t forget that super glue bonds skin instantly….lol hopefully I remember next time.

The details on this photo appear on review to show that a part of the cover may have broken off from the cover. Perhaps this piece could be epoxied back onto the cover? This may salvage the cover and get you back on the road.

This is the first thing to try. Taking the screw out will reveal a “ jagged washer “ piece of the cover that should be a good fit back onto the cover. Epoxy is a great option if the plastic in question will bond with it. If not then the CA glue with the second part called “activator “ might. This glue is the best type for my pp model plane that I seem to enjoy crashing into many pieces.

This was the last I heard from Zen. Several emails sent since for an update.

Nothing.

Really, really disappointed.

I sort of wonder what's going on there, TBH. There was a lot of blame on logistics and other such last year...but like, having to follow up in the extreme/inaction on their end has been the norm since I got the bike. I'm growing rather concerned.

My experience is... Ravi is the only one there capable of getting anything done.
He's busy now building out the battery factory.
Not an excuse... but that's been the reality dealing with Zen.

One other temporary solution may be to use a long screw with a washer large enugh to cover the bolt hole.
Not pretty but functional.
