Hello all,

I am researching to purchase my first e-bike. I’ve determined a list of criteria that I am looking for which includes:

Budget of 2k or below
Torque pedal assist
Fat tire
Step through ergonomic design
Bike big enough for me 6’2”
The most speed and power for the money

So from what I’ve come up with I’ve been looking at the Rize Leisure Step, the Sondors LX (not yet released, and although it isn’t a step through the Juiced rip current.

Those three bikes seem to have similar offerings as far as components. The Sondors I guess I’d have to wait for until 2021 which is kind of a bummer. Anyway what do you guys and gals think?

Take a look at the EBR list of Best Electric Fat Bikes of 2020.

Power assist made fat electric bikes the new sensation. Riding on gravel, sand, snow and up hills is fun but requires fat tires, wheels, and frames which all add weight… too much weight for most people to pedal comfortably without the electric assist. There are electric fat bikes of all types with only their large 4+ inch wide sized tires in common, so think first about where and how you will ride. They can go anywhere, do anything, some even fold. See all the details and even more winners on our best electric fat bikes page.

Just ordered the Rize Leisure Step.

It is interesting because I have literally not seen one person online who owns one. I know it is new but it does seem strange to me. However it has a very similar setup to the Rize X except it is a step through frame.

Congratulations and welcome to EBR! ;)

Let us know how you like the ride when the bike arrives.
