How many volts? 24, 36? It is hard to tell with the child seat, but is it a rack pack? How many wires? If it is two than that is relatively easy. If more than two it could be proprietary and obsolete. What does the back of the charger look like and say?

From Japan, but they won't ship a battery to Oz so I'm unsure how you will get it.

It looks like you will need to do a little rerouting and use a down tube battery. The 24V rack packs are not available in your area as far as I can tell from this side of the globe. I am in California. We have lots of eucalyptus. Has anyone grown redwoods in AU?

As @PedalUma describes your best bet might be to disassemble the bottom of the battery cradle to see if you can access the power wires. If there’s room for it behind the seat post, a silverfish style battery pack might work, though it is a longer pack https://www.pirez.com.au/products/2...ottom-discharge-lithium-ion-battery-rectangle

What bike is this, sure looks neat? I think Pedaluma has the right idea and if you can upgrade to 36 volts do it.

That’s this pack, but Japan Post won’t ship batteries >100wh overseas according to their shipping policy

You will need to get the base plate holder and charger together with the battery and wire it in. 36V would be nice but the controller might reject it. Over voltage shutdown.

Bridgestone Assista, a Japanese MamaChari family cargo bike, currently marketed under the Bikke brand. They use Yamaha motors and batteries.

What's redwoods

They would grow South of Perth by the coast. Ideal climate. They take fog and make it into rain.

Amazon Japan also sell this battery pack but will not ship overseas.

Do you have the old battery pack? If yes it might be possible to have the battery repacked with new cells.
