1st off want to start by saying thank you for all the folks on this forum who helped people who bought hydras deal with the anticipation of receiving their bike. I have been stalking the forums incessantly for information about the Hydra but fortunately my quest is over my Hydra arrives tomorrow. Matte Blk 2300 x1 carbon wheel set and many extras but the Reason I am posting i Found it funny that people would state whenever someone was expecting a hydra delivery it would rain...and I thought nah just a coinikadink but low and behold delivery tomorrow and guess what we are getting in NYC....RAIN!!! Maybe there is some truth.

Welcome to posting on EBR NycLowe. I'll look forward to hearing more about your experience of your Hydra.

Snuck it out while rain subsides will post a full review once I put a mile or 2 on it

That thing is a beast! I'm guessing you have suspension set a bit more firm for street riding? The beach cruiser seat is something I have on my hardtail...looks less agile but I don't like the sore rump feeling as a not-daily rider. Thanks for posting!

Idea: get a pic with something very NYC (ex: Statue of Liberty) in the background and submit it to the EMBN guys for their slide show mash-ups if you are familiar with their YouTube show.

Not familiar but soon as this weather breaks I will definitely do that...the Hydra curse is real...get a Hydra next few days rain...lol

Haven't really messed with suspension yet...I know that's important. It's probably gonna happen this evening. Just not really knowledgeable about setting suspension...So off to YouTube

For me a big butt seat is mandatory even though I don't have a big rump I prefer comfort over anything else. I know I might look off putting but makes me want to ride all day.

@NycLowe are those the 26x4? I assume so, just want to confirm. :) I keep waffling between those and the 27.5x3.
How comfy is the ride? Feel any bumps in front or rear?
