I'm 65 and a half years old and I bought a new xplite 2 last march and after more then 600miles on it I think I'm ready to let you know what I think about it. Chain not belt.
The xplite Is perfect for around the neighborhood cruising. 20 is the fastest it will go. I'm okay with that.
It turns and handles well, stops on a dime... It's not really that heavy but it's not that light either.
My aching knees appreciate the ghost peddling. A lot of riders don't like ghost peddling so they probably won't want a xplite because ghost peddling is unavoidable especially in Pas 3,4 and 5.
In Pas2 I get a less ghost peddling and more of a normal bike ride and that my preferred setting.
I just have the standard battery and so far that has served me well. If I leave it in Pas 2 it lasts a very long time. It lasts longer then my butt. Speaking of that...
the stock saddle was replaced with a more comfy one from Amazon shortly after I bought it.
I have yet to get a flat tire despite riding it over all sort of surfaces including glass so the magic green stuff must actually do what it's suppose to do.
It rides nicely over packed dirt paths and hiking trails. Keep both tires on the ground though. It's not a mtn bike.
I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and honestly I think if I was a little taller this bike would be too small for me even with a longer seat post.
The headlight is junk. I preferre my trusty rechargeable bike light that mounts on the bars. It's brighter.
Like other XP models the process of removing the battery is a pain, especially if you have poor knees like me.
No problem with the electrical components so far and the bike itself seems pretty solid.
