MTB's for 26.5" inseam woman

She's 4'11" and 26.5" inseam with no shoes. Currently riding a Liv Amiti-E+ medium frame.

I think the Trek Powerfly Women's 14.5" would fit her. We went to a Trek store and the salesman put her on a 13.5" frame. I think it was a Marlin? Plenty of standover. Then he tried a 15.5" frame. A little too tight.

I'd really like to try out a Liv Embolden E but it's a new model and none available yet.

Any ideas?

Are you planning to add a suspension seatpost or dropper post? Did the saddle nose push her further up the frame increasing the stand-over height.

This was the issue my 4'11" wife had with the Radrover. I couldn't add any suspension seatpost because of the extra length needed to make room for the suspension mechanism push the seat too high. I also had to replace her seat with the ISM Touring Saddle that doesn't have a saddle nose so her stand-over height would be at the drop bar lowest point near the seatpost. Ended up just getting her a Radcity step-thru ebike with plus size tires (able to use regular saddle and Bodyfloat suspension seatpost).

Hmmm interesting idea - seat with no nose so the rider can take advantage of the lower part of the top tube. Didn't think about that. She's using a Cloud 9 seat right now.

I know what you mean about the extra room required for a suspension post. We had a tandem a few years ago. I got her a Thudbuster and it just barely fit.

Haibike makes allot of smaller frame eMTB's. Either way you go, you will have a hard time getting over the downtube. The trick is finding a frame you can comfortably throw your leg over. I know Haibike has a few hardtail frames like the Hardfour that have a lower step down tube.

I also tried a nose-less saddle on my E-bike to see how it felt. Took some getting use to, however, you do not feel that usual pressure as you would on a traditional saddle. I change off between both types, however, it is cool to have both on hand for those days you have extra soreness on your backside.

I was looking at the Haibike HardLife with 35cm frame but they stopped making those last year. I'd like to say I was actually looking at one but that's not the case. Looking at the computer. If only there was a shop that had these bikes on hand!

The HardFour is - wait a minute - I thought the H4 was a kid's bike, that was limited to 13 mph or something like that. San Diego FlyRides lists the H4 Kid's. But Propel is showing a blue 2018 H4 that's supposedly 20mph. Only a 400Wh battery pack. My wife is riding a Liv Amiti-E right now and she wants 500Wh if I get her another bike.

Hmm things change quickly with these ebikes. Keep the ideas coming!

The U.S. Haibike website doesn't show the H4.

The 2.0 is rated up to 20mph assisted.
