Motor swap possible?

My 2018 Haibike trekking 6.0 came with the Yamaha PW motor. It's adequate but I wish it had more torque. Would it be possible to put a PW-X motor in place of the PW motor?.. I realize the X motor is narrower but if the mounting holes are the same maybe this could be done? I'm guessing it isn't possible and even if it were, it might be cost prohibitive but I have to work a lot harder than my wife does on her 2018 Gazelle easy flow going up hills or even on the flats. Her easy flow has shimano steps but I'm not sure which one. Combined with the Nexxus 8 speed internal gear hub her bike is very easy to ride. I do lose time and momentum when shifting to lower gears whereas she can go from 8th to 1st instantly.

Yes, I'm changing gears all the time.. I worry my wife will break her Nexxus hub as she is not careful about her shifts. She doesn't back off the pedals when shifting and I can hear that hub complaining about it.. when I ride her bike, I'm able to shift silently. It's a good thing she doesn't have my bike as shifting is done all the time and w/o shift detect one could really do a number on the chain and sprockets by full torque shifting. I hope my LBS is able to do tuneups on her drive system otherwise it's a long drive to the dealer. I'm very happy with my bike and don't mind having to shift a lot, it's part of the fun for me to time the shifts perfectly and silently.. I just wish it had a little more torque and the provided assist at a higher cadence. It will climb anything albeit slower than I had hoped. I also enjoy the deore XT components immensely. every time I brake I am floored by how smooth, quiet and efficient those brakes are. The feedback is perfect. Gear changes are fast and precise. At fist I didn't think I'd want the dual chain ring up front but it's a good thing to have with the Yamaha motor. I raised the bars 2" and now feel the bike is a perfect fit. Tires are too skinny and not a lot of options for 28" wheels w/ fenders but they roll nice.

Just watched a video on tuning the Nexus 8 speed IGH.. Very easy to do. Just a matter of lining up a reference line with a hash mark. This is done by adjusting cable tension while in 4th gear.. Far easier than dereaileur adjustments however anything internal would be way over my head. I've already got some cable stretch on my deore XT setup which was easy to deal with but so far the nexus hasn't needed adjusting. The bikes only have a little over 100mi. on them though. We have snow and ice packed roads here in N. Michigan so I'm afraid there won't be much riding until spring. There is no question the Haibike trekking 6.0 will not be my last e-bike but I got a great deal on it and I've been having a lot of fun riding it. Sadly, even though I got a deal, I think I'd be lucky to get half of what I paid for it if I wanted to sell it
