New Gazelle Ultimate C380+, first ride yesterday. Bought online and I did the unboxing and assy. I have years if experience riding non electrics, yesterday was first eBike ride. Bike has Bosch Smart System including belt drive and Eviola rear hub. There is a slight hum apparently coming from the motor whenever the motor is engaged. Is this normal? The noise is not very loud nor unpleasant, just unexpected. Also during my test ride yesterday I was cruising on a hard surface road at about 12mph in mid level assist and the motor stopped assisting for a second then picked back up, twice. Again, is that normal?

The hum is normal. Think trolley cars.
The intermittant power, post on bosch or gazelle forum. https://forums.electricbikereview.com/categories/discussion-by-brand-user-reviews.168/ My Jolly Roger pirate conversion never does that. When it quits, my leg has unplugged a wire (3 times). Or the rain has shorted out the throttle(3 times). Or the rain has set fire to the wiring harness (twice). Or the motor has shorted the winding (twice).
