Moscow m3 35 degree stem questions

I'm looking at getting a 35 degree 90mm stem to replace the low angle 90mm one that is standard. Reason is I'm 72 and will mainly be riding on paved and unpaved grade 1 and 2 trails and it should give me a more comfortable riding position. I've so far only done a few short 20 kilometer rides and even at that tend to loose the feeling in my hands .Has anyone done this?. According to my calculations it will raise the handlebars about 40 mm (1.5 inches) and move them closer by 12mm so effectively I'm changing to a 80mm stem. Is it worth it and are there any downsides to this ie uncomfort on seat or steering Characteristics. Or do I leave it as is and see how I go on longer rides.

might want to think about a handlebar with a larger backsweep too or instead, like a Jones Bar. Stooge Cycles also makes some nice ones.

Update, bought and fitted, difference is just enough to compensate for my high seat position and feels comfortable and balanced between weight on handlebar and seat
