MIPS vs Non MIPS Sizes

Thanks to Amazon's deceptive Marketing I purchased a Smith Helmet in Medium and Large : The Medium came with MIPS and was Very Tight : The Large which should have fit was pretty Big : On Inspection I see there's no MIPS in it. It's the Same Helmet :
Would I be correct in My Thinking that MIPS makes the Helmet Sizes essentially Smaller ?
I say Amazon Deception because Helmet is priced at and sold as MIPS . It was the same Ad . Different Retailers ??? How deceptive

Have you contacted them before beating the deception drum. No place is easier to return to as Amazon. You do know you can support your local bike shop and not worry about deception, right?

I'm assuming you checked the adjustment on the back? Not sure about Smitt but most helmets now have a variation of the same system-the little wheel at the back base of the helmet adjusts the fit. Smith does NOT list a different size range for MIPS vs non MIPS helmets, so they should be pretty consistent.

It's a pretty common error for Amazon and Amazon sellers to make: Smith gives the same name and product description on their website for both versions- the seller probably just copied the info from Smith. Also, sometimes manufacturers add MIPS from one model year to the next and you could get an older model. I'm sure they have different UPCs but you'll probably have to research to figure out the exact product # or UPC.

Same thing happened to me with a Lazer helmet from Germany. At least you should have a pretty easy time returning through Amazon since it's not the right product.

Come on Man : Why comment ? It's not a Debate

Yeah no issue to return : More a Pain since they mislead you the way they advertise this particular Product : No indication that some of the Colors and sizes had MIPS and SOME didn't. While the listing itself did say MIPS . So one would assume all the Helmets Included it : Sadly they don't.
