Hi there,hope some can give me some onsite.Just got my 1st e-bike.what I am finding is when I cycle with the assist on-on the flat-8th gear -I am spinning.No resistance-getting no place very slowly.Hope it’s just a small issue with gear cable of similar and not the bike itself.Many thanks

Welcome to the site.
If you have a derailleur (sprockets) there is a stop screw on the shifter to keep the chain from falling off the end.
If you have an internal gear hub, your shifter may be out of adjustment. You have to download the instructions for the particular IGH that you have and follow them. Usually involves a pointer and a mark, and adjusting the cable in a certain speed to make them match up.
