My Magnum Ui6 bought Jan 6, 2020 - the Key is only required to remove the battery,,, not required to be inserted to operate the battery.
Also I had a little tire rub on the fenders because the tire bead was not properly set, easy fix let all the air from the tire then put some soapy water on the tire that goes inside the rim (left and right sides) then fill, the bead set correctly, no more tire wobble and no more tire rub on the fenders.
The light - will shut off automatically after 5 minutes as will the battery if it senses the speed is 0 for 5 minutes.
