Louis Garneau to take on Bridgestone, Panasonic and Yamaha

So I know someone who lives in Japan right now, and apparently if you walk around, you will notice that 95+% of ebike market share is dominated by Bridgestone, Panasonic and Yamaha.

Yes, you can get Trek, Giant, Specialized, Tern, BESV, Bianchi, KTM and all the other American / European brands in Japan, but they're very small portion of market share.

No foreign ebike manufacture has yet to be able to compete against the Japanese Big 3.
Even Trek and Specialized couldn't come close. They just never got popular.

However, recently Louis Garneau has been getting quite aggressive on taking on Japanese manufactures and introduced these five ebike models. And Louis Garneau is quite possibly the first foreign ebike manufacture that's actually catching more attention from the Japanese market. This is something Trek, Giant and Specialized couldn't accomplish, despite their success in the USA / Canada.

It is interesting to note that Louis Garneau decided to ditch all their existing ebike models and decided to give completely different lineup for Japanese customers, none of which exist in Canada. (where Louis Garneau is from)

What motor are these bikes running?
These may just succeed in the Japanese market if you look at their design style/taste. 😁
