I am 73, fat and short with a 28 inch inseam, female. Looking for a step through bike under $2000 to do the GAP and general riding. I live in Pittsburgh so there are lots of hills! Am I being ambitious in my quest?

Will not be easy, but is do able. You have steep hills in your part of the state ... I am in central pa. Not as steep but longer, actually worse for many bikes. And lots of people here are older than you. Welcome and happy hunting.
