Hi, we are looking for ebikes. We are new to the ebike world. We are 2 seniors looking for something under $2500 each. I want a step thru and my hubs wants more of a fat tire (mountain) bike. We won't be going off road much except at campgrounds. We camp A LOT!! We need something that has a lot of power (we are pudgy). Any help would be appreciated. I have looked at Amego, Rad Rover, Townie, and a few more but we can't decide which is best for us. TIA

I bought this for that exact purpose: https://www.ridescoozy.com/collections/electric-bikes/products/veego-semi-fat. This bike is easy to put in the back of my truck or carry on the back of my RV. Many versions of this bike are available from different dealers. Some have 4 inch tires and a bigger motor. Unless you are over 300 lbs you’ll find just about any ebike will be powerful enough. Just about any bike will do fine on campground dirt. You won’t want a bike too big and bulky so avoid the Townie. Consider how you will transport the bike and what is involved in loading and unloading. I’m 68 and pudgy too.

Gettysburg has a nice shop:

I expect you saw the Townie there?

York County's GungHo Bikes is a Specialized dealer:

A&S in Lancaster has a variety of brands, they specialize in ebikes.

Then there is a new Pedego shop in Monkton, MD., on the York, Baltimore County line. They have other brands too. They are on the Torrey C Brown rail trail; nice place to test ride.

Thank you, I will check out Gettysburg Bikes, I think the Pedego is a little out of our price point, but nice bikes.
