Limited Smartphone Hub Display information compared to Nyon or Kiox

On this Trek forum page there is a screenshot of the www.ebike-connect.com dashboard from Alaskan who did a ride using a Nyon hub. It has all sorts of info that a SmartphoneHub user like me seems not be able to access. Apparently, you have to have a Nyon or Kiox to link your bike to www.ebike-connect.com. And, If you can't link your bike, you can't access that kind of info.

I really want to find out that I am wrong - that there is some way to get this level of detail from a SmartphoneHub. If you know how, please let me know. But right now, I'm a tad ripped-off. Hopefully it's just my ignorance of how the software works.

but the ebikeconnect app does not link to anything so you cant have it add info the strava or heath. Plus sometimes the kiox does not record gps data and never assent and decent. the kiox does not sync every time you turn it off either. its kind of random when it does it.

Kiox and Nyon use the eBike Connect app, but Smartphonehub uses the Cobi.bike app. Free from where ever you get your smart phone apps. To access all of the features, it requires registration for a free account, just like the eBike Connect app.

It looks a little different than the eBike Connect app, but will probably have what you are looking for. Ideally, the place you purchased your new eBike would have set you up with this app at the time of purchase, though I realize times are still a bit wild. My apologies for the less than ideal experience with this.

Once this is complete, every ride that occurs using your Smartphone Hub/Cobi.bike app automatically uploads the Strava platform. There, you can see a ton of data: GPS tracking, cadence, watts, heart rate (if paired).

The Cobi.Bike app does need to open and used for it to sync with Strava.

Is there supposed to be an electric horn option for the cobiapp via the bosch smartphone hub? I Rememeber reading that somewhere here but can't seem to find it on the forums or the cobiapp.

I purchased my ebike in NA but moved to Europe very recently and my ebike came with me. Would I have to purchase a new Euro spec Bosch smartphone hub unit or would a trip to a local certified Bosch retailer here in Greece for a software update unlock the electric horn on my current smartphone hub?

And if yes to the latter would this conflict with my 85nm Gen4 speed motor update? I would not want to roll back to 75nm. My ebike is the Trek 2020 Allant8s.

If it is a NA unit, a SW update will not install a horn. You would need to switch to the Cobi head unit that is offered in Europe

No it wouldn’t roll back.. you still have 85nm!
