Patterned duck tape Though I'll probably cover lettering with 2 inch velcro. Found an interesting 3d prism patterned duck tape at a local dollar store that looked cool.

What attaches to the Velcro?

Anything pretty much thin enough to not restrict pedaling. Or nothing. Just soft...fuzzy...blackout? Maybe a second battery some day on top.
