"Last Mile" Scooter Recommendation

What is my best bet for a "last mile" solution for my commute. Ideally a scooter I can fold and carry onto the subway and carry up a few flights of stairs.

It doesn't need to have a huge range.

A gentleman who gets off at my Metro stop uses an electric unicycle to get to his office, I don't know if his is one listed on this website but his has a pull out towing handle on a retractable leash which he uses to tow it through the metro station, you can also get bi-wheel versions for extra stability. Here in DC rental electric scooters recently showed up on the streets from LimeS, Bird, and Waybots.
