Hi guy.
I need to replace the headlight on my Mototec Fatboy, but the only thing I'm finding is the complete headlight assembly, and in my case, this includes the ignition switch ($100). After opening the housing for the headlight, I found the reason why they sell the complete assembly. The low beam are projector style, which consist a circular LED strip. The High Beam is high power LED chip that is soldered onto a circuit board, which makes it not so DIY friendly. Using a multimeter I found that its input voltage is 52 volts, so I'm guessing the voltages it accepts may range from 36v to 60v +/-, the chip had no markings on it.
So instead of ordering a complete headlight assembly which I don't need, and don't want to spend 100 bucks for, I'd like to only purchase the LED chip.. Anyone know where I can find these? I searched Amazon and Ebay, but I'm not finding any that match the specs that I'm looking for.
