From the website it looks like a BBS02 converted Giant hybrid bike. Lots of nice places to ride around Red Rock. October sounds like a good time of year to go, it’s too hot in the summer.

I worked there for 20 years mostly outdoors, sunrise and sunset summer rides are great. But perhaps not for the uninitiated. You doadapt and carry lots of water. Empty canteen and empty bladder, all sweat! Evaporative cooling works like a charm!

If you don't care for the bright lights of downtown, but would like to see the desert areas, does anyone have recommendations on a place to stay? My wife is disables and rides a trike. She needs a paved trail.

We have never been to Las Vegas.

Hi, The Red Rock Casino is a nice place that is not like the Las Vegas Strip. Calmer, more local atmosphere and close to Red Rock Canyon.

I live about 8 miles down the road from Red Rock on the NW side of town. There are some good trails by my house that are all paved and off the street for the most part. Here is what I used to find my trails. I ride the lower Las Vegas wash trail the most. Been waiting for the heat to cool down and plan a Red Rock trip.

NOT IN A DOWNTOWN HOTEL. AVOID THOSE. there are hotels off the strip. Check out a map, and read reviews.

The Aliante casino is on my end of town and is a newer hotel and close to some trails. Were 8 miles or so from down town. You can ride your bike from there and hit some nice paved trails ( the lower Las Vegas wash and upper Las Vegas wash trails) these are well taken care of paved trails and off the streets.

The Santa Fe is another one and is about 5 miles to down town. Red Rock would be another option. They have a trail that follows along the freeway but is limited to walkers and bikes but never busy. 5 miles up the road from Red Rock is that scenic loop that was posted. But that is a one way street and you ride with walkers and cars but the road is wide and speed limits of 15 and 25 mph.

Attached is a link from a gambling guru showing LV area trails. I usually bike to the west, but the Boulder City loop has been strongly recomended. According to Nevada law (last I looked) ebikes are allowed in any trails where there was federal funding involved.

Ebikes are allowed anywhere that bikes are allowed in Vegas. I talked to my neighbor who is a cop and he said they have better things to do than worry about ebikes as long as there not doing something stupid.
