No ebike is perfect, this is a thread dedicated to sharing known issues or problems with electric bikes from Faraday as well as any help and solutions you know of. Sometimes that means a DIY fix and other times it can mean a recall, software update or part replacement by a dealer.

Please be respectful and constructive with feedback, this is not a space for hate speech. In many cases, representatives from the company will see feedback and use it to improve their product. In the end, the goal is to enjoy riding and help each other go further and be safer.

Where is Faraday Porteur shop manual? I need to remove the battery myself. ASAP! Help. Please.

I've ridden the bike (Porteur) for a week now (purchased it a few months ago). A fantastic looking and functional bike that rides well. In the one week that I've ridden it (precisely 7 times) - for a round trip distance of 10 miles each time, it appears that the controller has failed. I've ridden it on pavement.
So, I'm not sure if this is an issue with the bike or just with my bike, although I have read that the controller has failed on another owner.

I'll keep you all updated as to how this goes. They seem like great people, but ultimately the success of a company depends on how they handle customer service.

Update - Faraday sent me a new controller. This one hasn't failed (so far). Company was pretty responsive to my concerns and obviously didn't charge me for the replacement part. Thumbs up to Faraday.
