Kiox 300 vs. Kiox Handlebar Mount

There are a lot of Kiox threads here, but I cannot find one that addresses my question.

Can anyone here confirm for me wether or not the Kiox 300 (newer) and Kiox (older) mounting systems are the same? Are they interchangeable?

Background: I don't want to mount my (older) Kiox on top of my steering column where the out-of-box mounting hardware would have me put it.

What I do want to do is put it on the handle bar with a K-EDGE Bosch Kiox Out Front Mount (or similar).

Or even the new Kiox 300 mounting system from Bosch (which can be purchased separately).

The problem is, everyone's website is silent on whether or not the Kiox 300 and the Kiox share the same mounting systems.

I assume they do -- but I'd feel a lot better hearing it from someone who knows for a fact, they do.

Thanks!

Thanks, @fooferdoggie

But I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean. Do you mean the new Bosch mounting bracket works with multiple Bosch head units? I do know the Kiox 300 gets more data from the system and therefore has more screens, if that's what you mean?

But that might just mean there are more inputs flowing through the same contact points on the back of the unit. And some of them might be coming in wirelessly, too. I mean, technically, that could be done.

Another way for me to get to the answer: Does anyone know if the K-Edge system has been around for a while? Does it pre-date the Kiox 300? My guess is, it does. And if so, I can be pretty confident it's not built specifically for the Kiox 300 — that it will work for me. But if it's a new product, it's probably built for the 300 is my guess.

I have reached out to K-Edge but no response so far.

Thanks.

The Kiox 300 does not share the same mounting system and I believe only works with Bosch "Smart System" ebikes. The original Kiox uses a magnetic system, the Kiox 300 is a spring pivot system.

This is the Kiox 300 mount (a screenshot pulled from the EBR review of the Kiox 300) which I assume looks different than your Kiox.

Right there is a smartphone mount and maybe a nyon in the future. same mount works for them all. but the wires for the old Kiox will not be the saem for the new system. the new system is just getting on new boles this year. So dont expect solutions yet as its so new.

yep totally different since the remote does most of the heavy lifting now.

Bingo! That was/is the answer (picture) I needed, @fordan

Thank you, both!

The K-Edge mounting hardware is definitely designed for the older Kiox. You can see the V-shaped contact point (just barely) when you zoom in and the oval-shaped upper lock is the same, too.
