We have the rear mount kickstand on our EG. No problems, but one must press the lever so it can fold, otherwise it stays locked and could break if kicked somewhere else.
Yes, I could see our Maui 500EX tips over pretty easy as is, with no load. Maybe they can install a center mount stand. I recall that's what was used on the smaller Athens when we test rode it.
