I'm posting this thread as an interested bystander to see what you folks think/know about these ebike batteries. My thought is that NO, they are not compatible/interchangeable.
Case in point:
The KEPLER style battery: https://www.magicyclebike.com/products/magicycle-e-bike-52v-15ah-battery The battery shown appears to be a carbon copy of the KEPLER style of battery casing (though a 15ah instead of the KEPLER 20ah unit).
The X52 battery: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/52v-reention-dorado-battery.46065/ This EBR thread has a lot of good X52 style battery info/photos, etc.
I would hate for a KEPLER owner to spend $500+ on a battery that uses the Reention Dorado casing only to find out that a different casing is used/needed on their KEPLER ebike. Remember that the usual website dealer/seller attitude is No Returns (except for warranty stuff) and No Refunds. You Buy It, You Own it.
ArielRider Home Office seems to think that the two styles ARE compatible.. I disagree..
What say you?
By the way, my 2021 X52 now has 4,975 miles on the odometer. I will probably be buying a 52v/20ah battery from Jenny Mao (she is mentioned/referenced in the above attached thread link) in a few months. $600.00 delivered..
Thanks in advance for your input.
SideNote to the buyer of four KEPLER ebikes: I, too, have “purchased” four KEPLER ebikes-- two times over. I estimate my $$$ spent on 6 ebikes, since Oct. 2017, to be $15,000+. Too much fun.. Too many frustrations.. Learn from my mistakes.. Or not..

Thanks for that very important bit of info. Those two batteries couldn't be any more different.
I found this for the Kirin battery unit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256803632800848.html?_randl_currency=USD&_randl_shipto=US&src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=708-803-
SideNote: Today I took the X52 on a 70 mile ride. 70 years old.. 70 mile ride.. Astride my gray mailbox, too. 70-going-on-7 when I'm on one of my magical ebike toyz. Needed to use 3 batteries to do it, but that is what they are for. And that's why it's important to always be sure that subsequent/replacement batteries are indeed the correct style/length.

I appreciate your post on the Kepler battery. I am so new to ebikes that I'm hoping to learn from your mistakes and others. My biggest fear is that with four ebikes (and 4 riders), a problem with one is a problem for everyone. If you've got 6 ebikes and 6 riders, your risk of problems increases that much more.

We've rented ebikes in the past, and that has its benefits, but to put 5,000 miles on a rental like you've done on your ebike, well that would cost a small fortune. So here's to hoping a bright future on these new Keplers. Please share if you learn more about the batteries.
