I have a Juggernaut Classic. The Biktrix bikes are OK bikes. They are no better or no worse than all the other direct to consumer bikes.
All these companies are pretty much the same. They get a crate of frames from Asia and they build them up with various component levels.

My rear hub blew in the first 50 miles. All warranty work is done by you. You either take it in to the LBS on your dime or you go through Biktrix online. You send emails, videos, etc and you wait for a response from them. After you spend about a week diagnosing the problem through emails, if they determine it's something covered by warranty you wait for them to ship the parts.

I paid $1800 for mine pre-covid prices have gone up since then.

Well, can't really say if that's a good price...it would be better to say that IS the price of bikes these days.

In general I like the bike, it's fun to ride, those Bafang motors are beasts. Biktrix does have better than avg. customer service than most direct to consumer bikes.
How good a bike mechanic are you and are you willing to do your own wrenching?
If you have a local bike store that sells E fat tires, I'd drop by one of them at least to get a look around at their bikes.

That bike in the pic looks like it's a direct drive bike, NOT a geared hub? Has somebody done a switcheroo that didn't work out so well? Thinking I would want to see some more pics to of this bike.... prior to offering anything for it.....

Good catch! That is NOT a Biktrix Juggernaut! There logo is different.
If that seller is claiming that as a Biktrix bike I'd be very wary.

WT? Ruff and Hicks are dead on, thats no Biktrix! It looks like a BPM to me, like an F-95 with all the stickers removed, very odd.
Edit: looks like BPM f95 no longer come with stickers so all this seller did was add a fake Juggernaut logo lol. The good part is F-95s are usually priced a little over $2000 even on sale so the price is fine.

Messaged the seller and it is a direct drive

The one in your photo shows the controller on the seat tube, the photo of the ebike i am thinking about, the seller says its built into the frame

With direct drive power, this is a bike I would not be interested in at any price as-is, unless it could be bought at a price that might make it attractive as a project bike. First project being to get rid of the direct drive motor and convert it to a 750-1000w geared hub (not that difficult at all!). If the controller has been stuffed into the area of the frame above the battery, it is very likely inadequate for the job, so a new controller and display are likely in order as well. Controller to be mounted on the seat down tube as shown in the pic.

Direct drive motors are typically pretty gutless from a standing start to start with. Add poor hill climbing ability and the extra rolling resistance of the fat tires to that picture, and IMHO you have a total dog from a performance perspective. That's likely why it's been listed for sale while so new....

Thank you very much AHicks. You have just made my mind up for me, judging by what you have said about the ebike.

Ride the bike , do you like it ? You can buy it if it is what you want . If it isn’t don’t buy it. Why would you buy a bike with plans to rip it apart 1st thing? There is nothing wrong with a direct drive motor especially if you it for what it does well In my years riding ebikes I prefer a quality DD hub motor but everyone is different. I ride almost only rails to trails , hubs are good here. I like the quiet delivery of DD hubs , the smoothness the way I feel about the power delivery is more to my liking then a low powered mid drive

Another thought though …if this bike has been modified and/or false advertising about what it is I would just move on and forget about it

OTHERS HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS

The thing is Opimax, ive to buy it first before i ride it though. What sort of torque and gradients% would i get as the hills around here are quiet steep in North Yorkshire

Do not buy that bike. The Biktirx bike is actually based on that same frame and battery so the weight will be about the same. I think my Jug weighs upwards of 70lbs. It's a heavy beast.
Mine has all it can do with a mid drive BBSO2 cranking out 120Nm.

Anything less will be a dog!

I think we should go back to square one. What type of riding do you do? Tar/gravel, single track mt. bike, urban?

Fat tire would be fun on the towpaths but you will pay for it on the road with a 4 inch tire.
Need something with abit power and not a massive price tag. I like the Fat i own 500w fat. Only just that it struggles on hills around here
