So I picked up a used 2015 izip Zuma E3 with only five miles on it for my wife. It is basically brand new. The only thing I am having an issue with is the three LED charge indicator mounted on the right handle bar. With the battery fully charged, it only illuminates the red empty light. Not once has it shown half, the yellow LED, or full, the green LED. How do I know the battery is fully charged? Well, after about four days straight of being on the charger(trying to equalize the batteries) I tested the battery pack with a dvom and had 41.5 volts. Being a 36v pack I assume that is good. I went for a twelve mile ride, retested the battery and had 31.6v. So I am assuming again, that the pack and charger are good? Is the problem in the charge indicator? Or battery management system. I haven't run the battery completely dead nor do I know if the previous owner kept it properly charged during his three years of ownership. Ideas?
