Is it possible to get higher than a 2A charger?

I like the HyperScrambler 2, but I would like to do a 200 mile trip, where I recharge half-way at lunch time.
Won't the recharge time be like 10 hours with a pair of 2A chargers?
Are there >2A options for the HyperScrambler 2?
Thanks.

Yes the Grin charger is the gold standard and does 8 amps, it also can do less than 100% charge to prolong the pack life. A cheaper option is the 5 amp luna charger. And Juiced now sells a 4 amp charger too.

Be sure your controller and battery can handle the extra "juice" going thru them.
Granted, I'm not an electrician but it's wise to be concerned about over heating. The last thing you need is a batter fire.
Maybe other members can post any potential problems.

The 19.2ah Juiced batteries have cells rated for 1c charging which would be 19.2 amps, they recommend 0.5c for normal charge rate which is almost 10 amps, 8 amps is no issue.

My Pedego battery got very hot and started to smoke when using my Grin to charge at 8 amps. I quickly disconnected it and no apparent damage was done. Pedego recommends charging at no more than 4 amps but the tech I spoke to said I could get away with 6 amps. He advised that doing so frequently could shorten the length of the battery. The cells in this battery should be able to take .5C according to the math but apparently, the BMS won't tolerate it. No doubt the tech was quoting the conservative company policy but IMO, smoke & fire aren't a good thing.

Remember charge rate is based on battery capacity. 1c charge rate is charging the battery in 1 hour which would equal the amp hour capacity of the battery. 0.5c would be a two hour charge rate or half the amp-hour capacity. A Juiced 19.2 ah battery has a 9.6 amp 0.5c charge rate while a 13ah Pedego would only be 6.5 amps. Most batteries used in bikes can handle 0.5c without issue, extremely conservative would be 0.25c.

Its mainly about the cells and the wire and charge connector size. Many packs use a tiny barrel connectors which are not designed for more than a few amps. Juiced uses a XLR charge connector rated to 10 amps. My guess on the Pedego smoke is a connector or wire size issue probably too small to handle 8 amps.

All 52v Juiced packs are compatible for the 8 amp charge according to their site and Juiced sells the Grin charger on their site as well.
