Very interesting article. This bike sport that they talk about in the article sounds very much like the Japanese. Micro manage every detail down to the smallest thing, and follow the herd. I had some Japanese friends when I lived in Hawaii, and my boss was Japanese. They had never run into anyone like me. As a Southerner, we will NOT do what we're told. Ask us politely and we will do almost anything that is asked, but tell us that we have to do something, pfffft. Lots of push back on that one. It was hilarious because after a few sake drinks thrown back, they started acting just like me! People need to loosen up sometimes.
