Installing larger chain ring on a gen 4 motor

I'm considering swapping to a larger front chain ring on my Giant Revolt, but only when the chain needs replacing.
At that time I'll make a decision to go for either a 46 tooth (2 teeth larger) or a 48 tooth (4 teeth larger) front chain ring.

On my commute I'm always in the lower part of the cluster, even on the steeper segments home.

Just for fun I already did the steepest hills in Brisbane - which did require my lowest gear and max boost - but they're done now.

Most of my usage is commuting, so a bigger front chain ring will use more of the rear cluster.

I recently upgraded my 2023/2024 giant talon e+ ex's front ring which has a yamaha syncdrive core motor. I got a bosch gen 4 spider adapter hoping it would fit, but it's JUST too tight. when measuring with calipers, I really don't get how it doesn't fit, but I had to end up getting a giant 38T front ring that basically already had a 104 BCD spider that attached the ring. hope this helps anyone.
Went from 36T to 44T (should've done 40 or 42T in hindsight), and I haven't done any tweaking with the motor, but it seems to work fine.
