Hi Ebike guru's the throttle cracked up on my girlfriends Ebike. I ordered a replacement on eBay but no success when I wired it as per the colour coding for the wiring.
I haven't been able to identify it to order the correct throttle. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions as to where I can find a replacement throttle for her bike. Best regards P

Sometimes, the positive and negative are reversed. Do you have a multimeter, to verify? And can you post a picture of the original throttle and it’s connector?

I do have a multi meter. Unfortunately I don’t have the original throttle.

USUALLY the e-bay seller will/can identify the function of each wire. That knowledge in hand, you have a much greater chance of matching those on the bike.

As you've found, colors are NOT to be trusted....

In theory, you can check resistance at the positive and throttle signal wire. As you actuate the throttle, you should see resistance value change. Doing this, you’ll identify the positive and throttle signal wire. By elimination, the left out wire should be ground. I remember now, when I replaced my controller, that I had to swap the throttle signal wire and the positive wire.

To confirm, testing between the positive and negative wire, you should find a fixed resistance value.

Are you able to share a photo of the controller connection and the new throttle connector? Or perhaps, a link to the throttle that you purchased. Pictures will help.
