If you are on pavement there is no advantage to having a 40 lb mountain bike over a 27 lb road bike like the Turbo Creo SL. I would not want 2.3" tires as with the Vado bike, on pavement.

The OP wants a Vado SL, which starts from 33 lbs and is equipped with 38 mm tyres, same as gravel bikes.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with the full power Vado with the 2.3" tyres, as the strong motor compensated the e-bike weight but the wide tyres cushion potholes in addition to the front suspension.
