You're not advocating for government to plan your meals and dispense the right amounts. That would reduce a lot more disease than a covid vaccine and a free burger.

It'll get to almost everyone at some point but here's my story. Was vaccinated early on in March 2021 and got the booster mid November 2021. I'm a government employee that has some interactions with the general public in a public building where there is a strict masking policy. We sparingly attend family gatherings in which all attendants are vaccinated.

My first symptom was an itchy throat followed by a fever that same night. On day three, I officially got a positive result from a rapid antigen test at our local urgent care center. I had a low grade fever for about three nights and had night sweats for about 5 nights. I still don't have 100% sense of smell and taste, still have a bit of a lingering cough and have a bit of "brain fog" (which is unfortunate since I'm not quick-witted to begin with). Otherwise I feel just the same as before the illness.

Just because I criticize the　American administration and the ongoing tragedy and call it what it is - a real SHITSHOW.

The problem for me, and upfront I do read all your posts and disagree with most, is that you don't seem to be able to admit that a huge responsibility for the s*it show lies not with the current President or administration (though there have been mistakes and missteps!), but with the millions of people who refuse to get vaccinated. Yes, the administration should have gotten ahead of Omicron with widely available tests and other measures. I'm disappointed that the CDC seems to be flailing around, even as I understand that what we know about this virus changes almost daily and there's so much we do not know. But what exactly, do you expect the administration to do to get us out of this when millions of unvaccinated people (and, now, even vaccinated people) keep spreading it around and incubating new mutations? Plus, you have the whole overwhelmingly right wing media and one of our two political parties spouting nonsensical misinformation and lies, and fomenting violence. You oppose vaccination mandates, you oppose verification of vaccination. Millions of Americans just refuse to think of anything but some warped idea of their own personal "freedom". How is any of that the fault of the president?

No worries... CDC said they are going to Audit the death numbers as they thing they are over estimated by 75%.. Most that died had at least 4 comorbidities...

As for the Antigen tests it seems if you have symptoms when taking the test it is wrong about 63% of the time and if you have no symptoms it is wrong about 35% of the time... PCR Test are ran at to high a threshold and give off mostly false positives.

So who knows what to believe ...I had covid last year .. Tired and brain fog for about 3 days.... Think we had Omicron new years weekend.. Sinus issues and mostly upper Nose, headache... Thank god for Natural immunity as it could have been much worse had I not had it... Symptoms were mild and I owe it all to natural immunity.. Sound familiar?

Never in the history of vaccinations has a vaccinated person had to rely on a non vaccinated person to get vaccinated to protect them.. What is the point of a vaccine if it doesnt protect from the non vaccinated?
