Oh wow. You call me a troll, ignore me, probably without reading my posts - and I’m the most vaccinated, mask wearing, hand washing, social distancing & strictly isolated person in this conversation probably. Just because I criticize the American administration and the ongoing tragedy and call it what it is - a real SHITSHOW.
I guess I’ll have to check back into this thread at the 1 million dead
mark to see where it all stands. But maybe we’ll all be too busy dealing with issues from the war in Eastern Europe that your beloved administration will fail to stop.
FWIW, I would never consider you a troll. I find your posts interesting and thoughtful, and I appreciate your perspective as an expat-- as well as your technical knowledge and experience about e-Bikes, which you share freely, and you have a significant track record there. (Not that my own opinion has any special significance!)
I also expect that you may agree with me on one point: If we'd all worn good masks properly fitted at the start of the pandemic, we wouldn't have needed the damn vaccine. Hey, I just got boosted today, but wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to? It's probably not ideal to hammer the Interferon 1 pathway so many times, just like it's not great to take too many antibiotics or any other chemical we don't need.
I don't understand the vitriol against Biden (or Fauci) any more than Patricia does. It just seems bizarre to me; I don't get it, and for many of the same reasons she mentions.
But here's the thing: If we were in the same town, and we wanted to ride or have coffee, there would be no problem
because you accept the fact that the virus is real, and you accept the idea that masks work. I think we probably share similar positions on other issues, but if we didn't, I have no doubt we'd have a civil and interesting debate.
I can't write people off just because they hate political leaders who I prefer. And I don't blame people for distrusting the CDC or the US Healthcare system or infrastructure. I despise it myself, it drives me crazy.
But at least the CDC said: "We haven't tested the virus on people with immune disorders." They did provide the bare minimum of informed consent. It was Israel, actually, that did the research that I needed to see myself to be satisfied about the safety of the vax for the population I'm a part of.
Hope you stick around, even if I cringe at the Biden-bashing.
