I hate wearing a helmet on ebikes and I found articles online saying helmets do more harm?

I road motorcycles years ago and have the scars to prove it. My last wreck was when someone broadsided me from a turn lane. After getting out of the hospital I saw my helmet with a huge chunk knocked out of it , that could have been my head . Yeah I will wear a helmet , it might save my life . Rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it .
