Hydraulic brakes for the moscow

The rear hydraulic upgrade worked so well for my first Moscow (standard model) that I wanted to get one for my 2nd bike.

This time instead of ordering through Leon I ordered a different model, Tektro Dorado, through Ebike Marketplace. It's a better Tektro model that cost a bit less than the OEM route:

I ordered the $85 kit: Ebike Marketplace

The kit came assembled, bled, with the lever/reservoir, caliper, adapter and ceramic pads. Everything bolted up and fit correctly. The brake inhibitor is just a bare wire but since my standard Moscow doesn't have a rear brake inhibitor it didn't matter. Another caveat: The brake line is about 3 inches too long, but it doesn't bother me.

Between the two brakes, the Dorado is a noticeable improvement over the OEM hydraulic model, plus it's a bit cheaper. It's more powerful, fades less and has a fluid level window but I'm not sure if that's really useful.

My advice: Ditch the mechanical rear brake. I'm keeping the mechanical front for now since it takes far less adjustment than the rear and seems to offer enough power.

So has anyone found another brand other than Tektro from Aliexpress (that is much cheaper) with a Julet connector for the motor inhibitor that works?

I see many on Aliexpress with a 3-pin plug (unspecified plug type). If that is Julet would it be enough to just get a 3-pin to 2-pin Julet adapter?

mine has a 2 pin Julet.
Comparing with your picture it seems the Aliexpress item has the same plug. Don't you think?

However when I find the 2-pin version it doesn't look like my 2-pin Julet.

Either these are from AE are not Julet or there are many Julet shapes for the same pins number.

They're usually self explanatory, such as 2 pin, 3 pin, 4 pin, etc...

The weird thing about the Julet connector on the Moscow non Plus in that is not that list. I really don't know where they got that 2 pin connector from. Seems like they're the only one using it.

Sure I don't think that would be a problem.
I haven't used my bike lately so my main issue now is to decide which brakes to get.

The brakes working well and looks nice. The lever is pressed hard like on mechanical brakes but has a double piston, easy to adjust,to mount and much easier to change the pads.

Interesting. So the cylinder with the fluid is part of the assembly that mounts on the forks? Unlike a conventional setup where the cylinder is attached to the lever on the handlebar with the fluid pushed down thru a cable?

Yes, the cylinders are in the brake system and normally there is no need to add fluid because it is sealed. But if it's necessary you have a screw where you can add fluid. I talked to the seller and he told me that there is no need to do that. You can see more tutorials on youtube about this brake, for only 36 € I think they are best buy.
The only thing I don't like it at all are the tektro levers, it's hard to press compared to other mechanical levers. Are they still working? I read a lot of reviews where people complained eventually it will leak oil.
