Hydraulic brake upgrade from cable disk

I have only had my Wing Freedom ebike for about 4 months with my wife doing most of the riding. its moderately hilly here so it helps us get to where we're going w/o exhaustion from middle age kinda-could-be-better-shape condition. We like it a lot and the range of 30-40 miles is sufficient.

Brake upgrade: The brakes on the bike are cable disk (generic) and with the 48 lb bike and us, some steep hills the stopping is not good and pads are wearing really fast. My wife's mountain bike I upgraded to 180 XT hydraulics, and you can stop with one finger. I don't need that level but willing to pay for quality. I have not seen many hydraulic brake systems of quality for Ebikes (with the switch for the motor) . I searched here and only saw old posts. Anyone have some suggestions? I have seen this on "Amazon 2019 TEKTRO E715 Hydraulic Disc Brake 203MM for Electric Bike" at over $200 a pair with everything. For that money I'd like to get a bigger name honestly, but anyone have ideas?

Tektro is a very good mid range brake. A lot of ebikes use them. Several of their systems are basically copies of Shimano, you can often use Shimano pads and bleed kits. They look a little different, but function and service similarly. I don't know if you can fit 203's on the rear, most frames don't allow for that size. A 203 front matched with a 180 rear is more than enough for most, as 60 to 70% of your stopping power is in the front. Two 180's is often enough.

Thanks, I do have to figure out if the 203 will fit front. I know rear is not as important - old Motorcycle rider (grin) so could just sell the rear disk and use the caliper. Buddy owns a bike shop I could make sure its all going to work if i get up there. I realize the mount adapter may need changing. I didn't realize the Tektro parts were somewhat interchangeable. Interesting. I have a set of older Avid Juicy brakes and they are a bit problematic so that was reason for saying willing to pay for quality. If it wasn't for the Ebike switch needs on the lever I'd have no issues upgrading with all the mountain bike brakes out there. Someone on older thread had recommended Saint model but when I looked they didn't have a E switch.

One more question, I have seen two wire and three wire mentioned on these brake systems. Not sure the difference. ?
