How wrong am I?

I've pored over many a review and watched many review videos. And I'm sure I'm being somewhat influenced by Court, as empty of a slate as I am. But it's funny to watch his review of the Vado 4.0 and literally running out of breath praising the though-out design and features. I have misgivings allowing myself to substitute Court's long experience for my own lack thereof. But here I am. I like to be informed, but I don't want to become ossified in analysis paralysis. There are too many ebikes in the world to carefully consider each of them and create a thoughtful and detailed pros / cons spreadsheet. I'm content to limit my options to the big vendors with large networks of shops, and winnow from there.

At some point, I do need to pedal.

Now leaning heavily toward the Vado 4.0 "Step Through" (mid-step, honestly). I blame the forum!

I can recommend that. My life has been easy with the ST Vado for the last >1000 miles or 6 months.

I behaved as an ignorant (who I indeed was) when I was buying my last traditional bike back in 2013. I was so horny to buy at a LBS that I took the bicycle with almost too tall diamond frame. When I was stopping the bike, my crotch was very close to the top tube.

When I was shopping for the Vado, I was sure of one thing: I needed the step-through frame to get on the bike easier. I had no idea the geometry and exact stand-over height figures were to be easily found on the Web. My bargain Vado was ST, size M. I decided it would be good for me and it was. If the bargain were for the step-over frame, I know now the bike would be a tad too tall for me.

I don’t think that you will regret any of those options. But clearly I am a fan of the Vado. It is just an incredibly smooth, refined, well built and well equipped eBike. And, I will add, FWIW, it’s a great looking bike. I’ve actually had someone yell over to me ‘great looking bike’ as I was zipping past him at 25mph!
