How to turn off annoying Location Permissions in the Specialized Turbo iPhone App?

I use the app just to configure my bike and not to record rides. But it keeps prompting me to enable location permissions. Is there any way to to disable this? Thanks.

Go here to "open settings".
Next, grant that the MC app is approved for use by the location service.
You also have the option to use it only when in use, so choose for yourself.

This is on an iPhone. What's an MC app? You mean the Specialized App? I don't want to grant access to my location because I don't use the app to record my rides. I only use it to configure the eBike.

i think you just have to live with that dialog if you don’t want to grant it location privileges.

That’s a bummer. The app should ask for location tracking only when you start recording a ride. It was working fine till I tried the ride recording once. Shouldn’t have done that. Maybe I’ll try deleting and reinstalling the app.
