I couldn't pair my brand new just received today ! Turbo Vado 5.0 .
This short video shows how .
The un-intuitive step is to click + on the handlebar remote after clicking pair on your iPhone .

Funny...when I bought my Turbo Vado SL 5.0 a few months ago, the shop techs couldn't figure out how to pair my phone. First they thought my phone was broken. Then I had them try their own phones and they couldn't. They thought the TCU was broken. The Mastermind TCU did say to press "+".

So I googled it and then showed them how. They were all surprised :)

How true! The guys from my Specialized Brand Store are great, both salesmen and the techies. However, the salesmen are the least interested in pairing Turbo e-bikes to the phone.

I was about to demo ride a Tero when it was a totally new product. I needed Mission Control to set the Smart Control. As the Specialized Warsaw people knew I was a competent Turbo user, they let me be. I had the same trouble as you guys described but looked at the Mastermind TCD-w to see the instruction to hit the + key :)

The difference between "order takers" and true representatives of the company who know how to service the brand.
