Hi, new to the forum!

I'm somewhat handicapped with limited mobility. While I used to be an avid long distance backpacker, I can now hardly walk 100 yards without needing a break. I thought an ebike would help get me back outdoors, and allow me a little more exercise than I've been getting. Searching around for an affordable ebike, it didn't take long to settle on the Lectric XP.

I pulled the trigger and ordered on 4/15 (seems like weeks ago) for a May delivery. Hopefully it will be early in May rather than later. I was able to use a coupon for the free panniers (kevcentral). I've noticed a few got aftermarket upgrades (grips, mirrors, seat, suspension seat post, lights, cellphone holder, water bottle holder, etc.) but will wait until I've used the bike a few days before I decide on any upgrades.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions once I receive my ebike.

Welcome and congrats. That looks like quite a bike!

I didn't see it on the web site specs, but from the promotional video it appears that this bike has pedal assist and a throttle? This would seem to be perfect for your situation as you can pedal for a bit, and then take a little pedaling break and just use the throttle for a bit. Be careful though - I have found 28mph e-bikes to be very addicting!

Thanks, with pedal assist and throttle, I was thinking the same.

I'll probably keep the settings at 20 mph for bit! Watching some of the videos, 20 looks fast enough!

congrats HT. I used to walk a bunch, now that I have spinal cord injury, not so much. I turned to ebikes to get out and do something physical last fall. Now I can't imagine life without one. Especially during these times, being able to get out and explore is wonderful. You are going to love it.
Nice looking outfit you have coming. Fat tires are intriguing to me. Please let us know what you think after a few rides. There is also a section in the forum dedicated to ebiking with disabilities, you may want to contribute there as well. Best of luck.
