Hi everyone! New "Old Guy" here.

Looking around, I don't think I'm going to be the "Old Guy" in this group. That's good because I don't feel old. I ride a 2014 Trek Madone, road bike when the suns out so I'm not looking for something to "get back into cycling with" or for exercise. My main reason for starting my search is mainly to be a little more green by doing some of my local errands and my commute to work. Hoping to glean some knowledge here. There is so much to take in. Thanks in advance from Olympia, WA.

Welcome to the site.
Court reviews a lot of bikes, and we have opinions here about the non-paying brands, some of which are quite popular. Hope you achieve your goals.
I intend to feel old in about 32 years - when I am 100.

Douglas, Welcome aboard from Bellingham. That last time I was down your way, I had a glorious ride on the Tenino to Yelm trail. I still want to ride the Chehalis Western Trail. I have in laws down that way.

Welcome aboard! This forum (and the EBR site) are both great resources for your questions... There are also many threads already here in the forums, that can address some of your likely-previously-asked questions too, as you explore/soak up the website.

Enjoy the research -- I found it all so fascinating, and still do -- but by all means, don't over-think it. Get an ebike that appeals to you and start enjoying the ride! It will be a great addition to your bicycling adventures.

I've been on both of those trails with my Trek Madone, road bike. Both trails are a great ride but I prefer the Chehalis Western. We always stop at Tacos Gabby in Yelm before heading back to Olympia.
