I am the, currently. frustrated owner of a new Gigabyke Groove V2. Love the bike. But, they sent the wrong Battery.
Add to that a common problem in Brooklyn, namely, parking. The management at my apartment building took one look at the assembled Groove and said that the bike can Not be brought into the building. I could, however, give them $250......A Month....to keep it in the building's garage. Not an option on my budget.
New York City requires a license plate / registration to park it on the street. BUT, when I went to NYS DMV and tried to get the bike registered, NYS says that they never heard of Gigabyke and that the Manufacturer would need to send all the bike's specs to their Technical Office for evaluation. I have tried to get in touch with someone with Gigabyke/Bikeberry that would do this but the service reps answering the phone keeps telling me that they will have their supervisor get back in touch with me .........to no avail.
The battery problem, I think I can manage, with some electrical advice.
The DMV/parking problem, I am not as confident in solving that "catch 22"...

That's unfortunate. I think the property manager views the ebike as a motorized scooter which is what it looks like. Hope you can get things sorted out.

Can you return the scooter/bike? Would a bicycle style ebike suit your needs and be something you could take into your apartment?
