Help with Tektro brake replacement. Now no throttle.

Hello,I have a surface 604 colt. I crashed and had to replace my rear brake handle and master cylinder. I removed brake line and some other electric plug that slides into master cylinder and then attached both lines to the new m/c and handle. The brakes work but my throttle doesn't work even if you pedal or just the thumb throttle. It was working before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a multi-meter to check for continuity/short of the "some other electric plug that slides into master cylinder" as you called it, check both sides as the impact may have shorted the sensors and even when you`re not applying the brakes the system thinks that you are and it is cutting the power off to your throttle.
If you find that there is a short in one of the sensors you may have to replace it, or if you are lucky like I was you might be able to fix it.

Thanks for your reply. I pulled it back out and it all looks good and the wires are good and solid but not sure how to check continuity on such small wires.

Try to unplug the brake cut-off switch and see if works. If it does there is a short in the line or the brake cutoff sensor will need to be adjusted. To adjust the screw that the cable goes into at the master cylinder there is a screw where you can use an 8mm or 10mm (if my memory is accurate) open key wrench.

Make sure to disconnect the battery 1st from the bike, safety first and it is very easy to fry stuff with that much power, the other end of that cable is connected to another cable that goes to the controller, unscrew that connection and use the multi-meter probes in the plug for testing, when you hear a bebebep you have a short
this may help
