Help me choose one of this bikes:

Keep in mind this is canadian prices.

1) Stromer ST1X 3.799.99
2) Stromer ST1 Elite 2.599.99
3) Stromer ST1 Platinum 2.799.99
4) Stromer ST1 Class 3 3.199.99
5) Trek Super Commuter+ 7 (Demo) 3.199.99

Not sure why the ST1 class 3 isbpriced higher then the elite and platinum?
I'm waiting for Amego to answear the phone
From what I have been reading on the Stromer forums, I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger on it.
Lot of complaints on reliability , so I'm not 100% sure.
Peesonally I like the look of the Stromer bikes but not being and experienced ciclyst, not sure if an hub motor is better then a mid drive motor.

I would consider the Stromer Elite if you need extra torque for long, steep hills and don't need to go more than 20 mph with pedal assistance. The Platinum is the choice for going over 20 mph. What concerns me about these two models are future service and parts--especially the batteries which are no longer used in the newer Stromers.

Like you I am also interested in the ST1X. But wondering how it rides considering it has an aluminum fork vs the carbon fork in the ST1.

One other ST1X question. I understand 2G connectivity is no longer supported in the US, correct? And you can upgrade to 3G to regain connectivit through a dealer? How expensive is that?

Choose a dealer that you deem competent and reliable to support you after sale. It can be the difference between satisfaction and frustration.
Test ride as many bikes as you can stand. It will help you identify likes and dislikes, gives you a more objective viewpoint for choosing. Especially ride both a hub-drive style example, and a mid-drive style. They're a different design philosophy.
At the high end there you're getting into pretty broad selection territory - the world is your oyster.

Thanks for help.
I pulled the trigger on the St1x ) I got another 150$ off and a few accessories. I just couldn't resist.
The all thing came to 3950$ CAD after tax.
I'm located in Toronto Canada and my only reliable options are Amego located 15 minutes drive from my house and Scooteretti in Ottawa ( about 2 hour drive) . Purchased from Amego since Scooteretti is priced at 6259$ CAD before tax . Not sure why this huge price gap lol
Maybe someone can shed some light on this .....I'm confused about that price gap.
For repairs I should be ok I guess? Anyone here from TO have experince with Amego?

Just to put it into perspective since most of you guys are from the US.
The St1X brand new came to 2795$US after tax.
I had to buy it I figured even if I do experience issues it's a bargain at that price.

Not relevant to your purchase, but I noticed that #4 on your list was the Stromer ST1 Class 3. There's no such thing as a Class 3 ebike in Canada (unfortunately).

I'm actually thinking about calling my CC and asking for a refund/cash back.
The bike was supposed to be ready this past monday and it wasn't.
I called them on monday afternoon and was told that the bike will be assembled that same day.
Emailed the the day after and called them several times and no answear.
I should of listen to the reviews on google.
I'm actually scared to deal with them. It's already difficult to get repairs and support from stromer in Canada and on top of it this ship customer service is not good.
They took the money and don't reply back .....immagine if something goes wrong with the bike ?
Will be a nightmare.

I have the ST1X. It came with the newer Omni system. I believe its the Omni-c. Full color and I have 3g connectivity. I am considering ordering the front suspension fork though. The roads here in Michigan are full of potholes. After about 15 miles,My wrists and hands are a little sore. Needless to say I absolutely love my Stromer. Its like a tank.
