Hello, I'm reaching out today hoping to get some help from yall as you guys have more experience in this.

I've done a little hunting already and I even have one bike ordered but now I'm not sure if I chose the correct one. The bike that I have ordered is the following:

now I have been reading a couple of posts and see that some people are buying from Ali Baba and getting these bikes for a lot cheaper I would like your opinion on that?

Also, I have chosen this bike because I want to use it for Uber eats and door dash. Though I have seen other companies like juice say that their bikes will give you up to 70 miles on a range which sounded a lot better and the bike that I was looking at from them is this one:

Now I'm all open to hearing every suggestion honestly but here's a couple of things about myself I live in Denver Colorado there are some Hills here also I'm a 6' 3" 330 pounds guy. Not in the best shape of my life but was hoping that if I can get an electric bike and do deliveries this would help me lose weight. But I'm just wanting to make sure that I made the right decision and if not correct it. I want something that will give me lots of miles so I don't have to worry about running out of battery especially because downtown from where I live is still like a good 8-mile ride.

Thank you all for reading my post and hope to hear in discussing your input.

Ps. What also like the ability should be able to add more than one battery or have backups just to expand my range. Would also like to keep it in that price range of 2600-2700

First post here.

I'm sort of in the same situation. I'm 6'4" and 200# and I'm thinking the Ripcurrent S is the way I'm leaning. Its available in 3 frame sizes and the XL would fit best. The Blackbird comes in 2 different 'tire' sizes which may be simular, maybe not. I'm also liking Juice bikes track record and more powerful battery but again I'm new to the game. Probably others in this fat tire class we haven't considered.

Nice review from July from another tall guy -

Looking forward to hearing other opinions.

I'd agree that the bike purchased from Chinese no-name vendors generally arrive as promised, and they can be good buys. Where our opinions might differ is regarding state side companies (selling China built bikes) that generally do stock parts for warranty purposes. RAD would be the one I'm thinking of there. I'd like to believe Bolton might, but I haven't seen any evidence one way or the other. That might be a question worth pursuing there. Juiced would be a much bigger company, but it would still be a good question.

Big guy here too. 6'2"/315lbs. I spend a lot of time riding in a coastal area with some pretty big hills. Have a home smack dab in the middle of a bunch of them. AND, I'm currently shopping for a fatty as well.

Problem here is I've been spoiled by a custom 1000+watt MAC motored RAD City that will climb our local hills with ease. With it's smaller 26x2 tires, it does a nice job as a "hybrid" that see's about 80% pavement and 20% "other" surfaces. I modded a Rad City with the aftermarket MAC motor myself. Now, going Fatty for a better ride, and for the occasional (loose) sandy trail. We'll be going to street tires right away for a quiet ride.

For my (somewhat spoiled) needs, would love to find more availability when it comes to 1000w geared hub motors in the "affordable" ranges (<3K).

Last thought to share, I built my first few bikes, and one of the mistakes I made early on was going with too much battery. You don't need a 50-60 mile range when your butt is only good for 20 miles. It leaves you with a lot of unnecessary weight on an already heavy bike... FWIW -Al

What did you end up going with? I have a Blackbird ordered but I have concerns about the battery mount stability or lack thereof. Apparently these Hailong Shark packs can have some mounting issues.
