I have been riding bicycles since the 60s. I am old school, but hey I adapted to SIS shifting in the 80s and liked it. As ebikes came on the scene, I approved of the concept, but I didn't need it yet. Now my wife and I both do. I ride with a prosthetic left leg and a knee high brace AFO, (ankle foot othosis) on the right foot that is missing all the toes.
As I began researching ebikes, I also realized I now needed a step through frame for easier mounts and dismounts. I have a Rivendell Clem L, (low bar; ie ladies) frame.
My research led me to purchase an Evelo Galaxy ST. This bike will primarily be my wife's bike. I suspect it will lead to a second ebike this summer, but hey, who's counting?
We live in a very small rural town, Wells, NV. We're at the crossroads of I 80 and US 93. We're about 50 miles from ID and 50 miles from UT. Our town is around 1000 people and no stoplights. All our rides are like riding in Mayberry. We'll do some day rides and go to the store and post office. Pack our bikes when we take our little RV camping.
I have learned a lot from you and I hope to contribute in the future.
