Hello from The GAP, Mile 112!

Bought a Fuji Absolute 1.9 in 2016, with Cycling Dutch Girl as an example, and launched on a 2000 mile solo ride. Best thing I ever did in my entire life. I was 64 at that time. But it was too much like work once I got where I am today, West Newton, PA. End of 2018 I bought a Juiced CCS and can now see another tour in my future, though not a magnum opus like the last one. I won't quibble over brands, styles, or motor locations: Electric Bikes Rock! I'm preaching to the choir, I know and without apology. Because it's the choir that is the really important part here; the biking community we are part of. The Great Allegheny Passage draws people from around the world and it's exciting for me to look forward to who I may meet on my next ride. Like this forum draws people together from all over. Bicycles may not have the long history that music does but not many would argue that we have enjoyed singing and dancing since the first cave-folks starting banging on logs with sticks and everyone got in the groove. Biking is the dancing. It's fun. We're generally a happy bunch of people. Well, I know that I am anyway, because I live in a small town biking community of global proportions and we're all enjoying the dance together here. You're reading this, so you must agree in some way with my rambling thoughts. But I digress. Often. Back to the topic: my CCS allows me to ride the hills here that were draining the life out of my legs on my Fuji. Just when I thought the dance was over, I got a new partner and the music hasn't stopped since. Reading other posts on this forum prove I'm not the only one; other people, and not just us old-timers either, are enjoying the chance to ride again because ebikes make it so accessible. Thanks for allowing me to join the community. It's good to be here among friends. Enjoy the ride everyone.
