Hello from Northern New England

After years of resistance and a couple of unplanned surgeries I have recently purchased an e-bike.
A rad rover. I’m ecstatic. I feel like I’ve been reunited with a long lost friend.
I had it assembled by the lbs and I put the bad a** factory fenders on as well. I have 180 miles on it thru mud, sand and snow and not so much as a squeak or creak out of it. (Unlike my joints)
I could not be happier. Best 1500 bucks I’ve ever spent.

I have questions for the rad rover veterans out there and a hack to share (more like a happy accident) but that will be another day.

Thanks to all for sharing your wisdom, and humor and for being good ambassadors of our sport

Welcome to the site and assisted bike riding.
Rad has problems with loose wheel spokes and even bent front axle. Tap your spokes and listen for a tight ring weekly. If a dull thud, tighten. Too much tightening, the spoke may poke the tube.
I do this test only when I change tires ~annually on the bike left. No tightening yet and I'm at ~4000 miles. It cost $1500 without motor, battery, or accessories. There are reasons. Real steel is one.
