Hi everyone! I’ve already posted to this board asking for advice about a bike, but now that I have one, I thought I’d introduce myself.
I’m the very happy new owner of a Yamaha Wabash. I love my Wabash because it feels like a bike, just a bike ride by someone with bionic legs.
I have a Domane as a “race” bike, a Brompton, a vintage Trek 330, and a Cannondale hybrid so I’m not new to cycling. On the contrary, I’d like to drive my car occasionally, not every day. Unfortunately, I live on top of a rather steep hill. I am #3 on that hill in Strava, but that doesn’t make it any easier to climb after I get off the train after a long day in New York City. Then I read this article https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/20/opinion/electric-bike-aging.html and realized that even though I am still reasonably fit, an electric bike will do wonders for my ability to get up the hill. And it has! I’m going to be out and about much more and that will make me fitter and healthier.
