I was going to rerout the wire to the headlight, but I can't get the the connection apart, I was pulling hard,the little voice inside my head said dont pull any harder you'll break it. I always regreat it when I dont listen to the little voice. Is there some trick to getting the connection points apart?

Use a hair dryer on the connector for 5 seconds and it will come loose easier.
